Well, howdy! It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything here…and longer than I care to admit. If you’ve been checking in from time to time wondering what happened to this site, I apologize for the mega ghosting. The short answer is that in June of 2022 everything fell apart. Ok, not the cute, quirky fall over that we can laugh about. More like “the entire lights went out, and the wiring needs to be replaced” implode.
Ever since then, I’ve been quietly piecing back together, rebuilding, and restoring everything behind the scenes on this web site that I have had since 1999. Some things quickly sprang back to life, others took a bit more tinkering, and some are still on timeout for being so ornery and refusing to do their jobs like they’re supposed to. Turns out websites have personalities. And boy did mine throw a wrench into my plans by deciding it needed a long nap to recover.
But the good news is that I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Normal is starting to feel normal again or close to it as one can get. And once I get a few more pieces settled, I’ll be throwing some new updates up, along with new content, and a few long overdue projects that deserve to see the light of day. You could consider this phase the “soft launch.” Slow, steady, and integrating everything I’ve learned throughout this whole experience since 2022 and now that I have since retired from webmastering in 2021 after 22 years.
