Marion, IN –  December 5, 2013 – The popular web site that took down Vote for the Worst and The Nicest, Most Dangerous Site in America’s Victory streak came to an end tonight when Ellona Santiago and Rion Paige Thompson were eliminated on The X Factor, resulting in the very first loss of 2013 (sans Alex & Sierra). After the successful campaigns for Cassadee Pope, Candice Glover, and Danielle Bradbery in the fourth season of Voter for the Girls (VFTG 2013), and earning extraordinary rewards including a trip to the Indiana State Fair and enjoying dinnrt at K Bistro in Marion, Indiana, Vote for the Girls finally met its first loss of 2013 basically.
Since Vote for the Girls USA launched on April 28, 2010, nearly 300 thousand votes were cast for 61 female contestants on American Idol, The X Factor, and The Voice that spawned four victories of Melanie Amaro, Cassadee Pope, Candice Glover, and Danielle Bradbery, which has become the buzz of water coolers across the nation. With the new Vote for the Girls Jackpot and Male Moderator offers, the victories of Glover and Bradbery currently holds the record of the most consecutive victories for the site as well as the first time in site history that multiple VFTG Victories have happened in the same year. The remaining Vote for the Girls pick of Alex & Sierra, are heavily favourited to win the X Factor USA 3 for the site’s first VFTG Draw, which will mean neither a win nor a loss. It all came down to the statement as read by Ava Zinn herself:

There are zero women left in the competition and it’s the second time in Vote for the Girls history it has ever happened. According to the rules, though, in the event Alex & Sierra win the competition, we then declare a Vote for the Girls draw and the loss is nullified. But if Alex & Sierra are eliminated, the VFTG Loss will be official since there are no more girls to vote for.

“Alex & Sierra are great…the performances was just right on,” said Holly Everman, Vote for the Girls Chief Moderator and long time friend of Ava Zinn.
