2014 Year in Review

The following is a list of events on AvaZinn.com and Vote for the Girls in 2014. Events listed include information about changes of Zinn Family and friend, controversies and  disputes.

Month Day Event LINK
January 1 Ava Zinn began an over-the-air/Internet stream (via AT&T U-Verse) hybrid as a television provider
(replacing Bright House), the Indianapolis stations (except WNDY and newscasts on WISH, WXIN and WTHR) were replaced by
out-of-market (and out-of-state) affiliates of the corresponding networks, including stations in Chicago (WBBM-CBS, WLS-ABC, WGN-CW, WMAQ-NBC, and WFLD-Fox), Miami (WPLG-ABC and WSVN-Fox), Tampa (WTVT-Fox and WTSP-CBS), New York (WCBS-CBS and WNYW-Fox), Chattanooga (WDSI-Fox), Harrisburg/York (WPMT-Fox, WGAL-NBC, WHTM-ABC), and Dayton (WRGT-Fox).  The substitution began on July 15, 2012 and continued in 2014.
March 1 Following the eliminations of American Idol favorites Marrielle Sellars and Jillian Jensen, Zinn goes on a meat strike (essentially going vegetarian) for an undetermined amount of time. It is later revealed in a  Twitter post on March 28 the meat strike will last for the rest of the year, and will last until January 3, 2015. The meat strike ended on December 25, 2014.
15 Vote for the Girls UK broadcasts the final Ariel Swaringen appearance before her death 1 week later.
18 and 20 The final episode of the original US version of Vote for the Girls with Ariel Swaringen as moderator. Swaringen had died on March 22; the remainder of the fifth season of Vote for the Girls USA were shown broadcast as an “in memoriam” tribute to her from March 25 to the season finale.
April 5 Vote for the Girls UK gets its first loss on The Voice UK series 3.
10 Five days after Jermain Jackman won The Voice UK series 3 and upon seeing that Malaya Watson had the lowest number of votes on American Idol, Holly Everman is shoved to the floor when a fight begins on the Vote for the Girls set between moderators of Vote for the Girls US and Vote for the Girls UK. The fight originated between Holly Everman and Khayla Chow, after Everman called Chow a bi-black bimbo.
18 Ava Zinn announced on her YouTube channel after learning Jessica Meuse landed in the bottom two that she followed through on her threat to auction her virginity as a male. It was announced on November 29 that 47 year old Kymberly Alvaraz, originally from Denver, Colorado had been the winning bidder.
29 Upon seeing that Bria Kelly was not saved on the sixth season of The Voice of America of which criticized the moderators for not including Indianapolis native Josh Kaufman as a Vote for the Girls pick because the site’s operations are in the state of Indiana, yet supported Alisha Bernhardt and Marrielle Sellars on American Idol 11 and 13, respectively. Kellie Rock stormed out muttering “this is a f—ing joke” while confrontation between Maribel Mort and Veronica Willis (in which Mort referring to either Willis or Everman as “slutty bi-bimbos”) led to Willis punching Mort into the face and forcefully shoving Mort to the floor, and subsequently a full-scale brawl in the audience with items hurled and punches thrown. Audience members, several stage hands, Jameson, and Everman themselves got involved, with Jameson and Everman intervening to separate the pair. In the process, Ava Zinn was struck in the head by a a can of shaving cream and escaped uninjured yet washed out the shaving cream off her head.
May 1 Upon hearing Sam Woolf was eliminated, Ava Zinn stripped naked after she celebrated by spontaneously whipping off her shirt and falling to her knees in her bra (a la Brandi Chastain in the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup finals). It was not the first time Zinn “pulled a Brandi Chastain” as three years earlier after learning Haley Reinhart and Lauren Alaina made the Top 3 of American Idol’s tenth season.
6 During The Voice season 6 Top 8 results after learning Christina Grimmie was saved, Ava Zinn creates more controversy by “Twerking,” a YouTube that some described as “raunchy” and “provocative”. It also included a strip tease by Zinn, which critics had similar comments about.
20 Supporters of Christina Grimmie (via Vote for the Girls) and Josh Kaufman (via Indianapolis NBC affiliate WTHR) engage in a Twitter and Facebook brawl involving WTHR anchors and Vote for the Girls moderators. Jennifer (Tedder) Morris, a supporter of Kaufman initiated the conflict with fans of Grimmie when another supporter of Grimmie (Holly Everman) began intercepting and cyberbullying non-supporters of eventual American Idol 13 4th place contestant Jessica Meuse after Zinn posted incorrect voting info for Meuse and calling supporters for Kaufman “girl-hating commies.” The fifth season of the site’s YouTube series was already called off on April 17 a day before Vote for the Girls founder and Aministrator Ava Zinn announced she was auctioning off her virgininty and her desire to have sexual interourse with a biological female for the final time as a biological male as part of Zinn’s ongoing gender transition from male to female, a threat Zinn made earlier if a male won The Voice and/or American Idol, which did happen on both The Voice and American Idol. The following day after Christina Grimmie’s third place finish (and Vote for the Girls’ first loss on The Voice), on May 21, Everman had shaved off her traditionally long hair immediately upon learning Jena Irene (Asciutto) was runner-up, and consequently, along with Vote for the Girls moderator Kellie Rock began to wear breast binders for the rest of the summer, while Ava Zinn and Kathi Jameson wore strapless tops and halters for the remainder of the summer.
June 1 For the Vote for the Girls Punishment following the losses on The Voice 6 and American Idol 13, the transgendered women (Ava Zinn and Kathi Jameson) and biological women (Kellie Rock and Holly Everman) essentially trade respective gender identity roles: To coincide with their gender transitions from male to female, Zinn and Jameson begin strapless tops, halters, and bikinis over the summer, accompanied by Zinn not wearing a skirt or dress for the summer while Jameson continues her gender transition with skits and dresses; Everman and Rock returns the favor by binding their breasts to create a flat-chested appearance, with Everman passing as a male after her head is shaved and appearing more masculine and wearing male clothing (later revealed to be her father’s) and Rock passing as a woman that had breast cancer.
26 It is announced that Ava will bring INNewsCenter back after a three year hiatus. The revival of INNewsCenter launched on December 28.
July 11 The sixth season premiere of the American adaptation of Vote for the Girls premieres with “Ava’s Virginity Auction,” following the decision to put Ava Zinn’s virginity to the highest female bidder, and the media firestorm that followed after the site’s failure to support Christina Grimmie and Jena Irene Asciutto to victory and a perfect season.
19 As part of a Vote for the Girls Reward as winning moderators, Ava Zinn (as the winning moderator for Tessannne Chin’s victory on The Voice 5), makes the bicycle trip from Marion to Muncie (clad in a strapless pantsuit) visiting Concannon’s Bakery and Cafe (as well as stopping by a Dollar General store in nearby Gaston, in addition to Dollar Tree, Walmart, Speedway, and Aldi) in Holly Everman’s hometown of Muncie. Everman returned the favor spanning three days starting on August 12, 2014 when she biked from Castleton Square Mall to Anderson, from Anderson to Marion (at which necessitated Everman’s relocation to Marion after announcing she and her wife, Veronica, divorced after two years) on August 13, and finally from Marion to Van Buren to visit the Popcorn Festival.
August 11 Tribune Broadcasting signs a deal with CBS to have WTTV (channel 4) become the network’s Indianapolis affiliate. The move to WTTV, effective New Year’s Day 2015, will end CBS’ 58-year relationship with WISH-TV (channel 8), and is reportedly the result of disagreements between CBS and the LIN Media-owned WISH over the network’s demands for reverse compensation of retransmission consent from its affiliates. This eventually spawned the second major network affiliation switch in Indianapolis in over 35 years as WRTV (channel 6) and WTHR (channel 13) switched networks with NBC moving from WRTV to WTHR and ABC moving from WTHR to WRTV, and was confirmed December 22 that WTTV and WISH will swap affiliations, with CW moving from WTTV to WISH.
22 Holly Everman is arrested for her second DUI on the northeast side of Indianapolis after driving northbound on the southbound lanes of Binford Boulevard, and was recorded as having a 0.17 percent blood-alcohol content. She was sentenced to one year probation in a Marion County, Indiana court in Indianapolis on September 10, 2014 and another year of probation and 40 hours of community service five days later in a Grant County court for her role in the Vote for the Girls brawl that began the brunt of Everman’s troubles. She entered a rehabilitation clinic for alcohol abuse and anger management counseling as part of her court obligation, of which she is forbidden from consuming or possessing alcohol and her driving privileges were revoked for a period of six months and 20 days (expiring on March 30, 2015). She will be subject to random drug testing as a condition of her probation. In addition, the judge stipulated that any subsequent OWI or DUI charge in a three year period will be treated as a felony. Everman was also forbidden from doing any media interviews or making comments related to the Vote for the Girls (other than voting but cannot post who she voted for) on social media during the suspension.
24 Vote for the Girls USA is dealt another loss as the site was unable to help Audrey Kate Geiger and Dana Williams to the site’s first victory on the ABC show “Rising Star.”
September 3 Valerie Rockey becomes the first Vote for the Girls supported contestant to be saved from the site’s first loss on the American version of So You Think You Can Dance.
18 Following the defeat of Emily West, a Vote for the Girls-supported contestant on the ninth America’s Got Talent, it is announced the terminations of Khayla Chow and Kathi Jameson from the respective United Kingdom and United States adaptations of Vote for the Girls following previous incidents between moderators. Jameson would later appear on the Australian adaptation of Vote for the Girls.
26 Production of the United Kingdom adaptation of Vote for the Girls was nearly abruptly halted by two guests, later identified as Khayla Chow and Victoria Glassering that would cause trouble. This was due to the fact that other commitments of Zinn’s had to be fulfilled and according to Zinn’s contract production of Vote for the Girls could not be rescheduled, stopped, or delayed for any reason, even weather delays.

A third guest (identified as Witney Mitchell), unaware Zinn’s schedule until being informed at a later date, tried to disrupt production 90 minutes into the rehearsal for the start of the second series, startling moderator Tracia Ward and creating a disruption.

29 A viewer of the American adaptation of Vote for the Girls, intentionally crashes a truck into the building’s lobby as the viewer went too far and one Vote for the Girls moderator (Karly Ryder, Jr.) was booed off the set and her future on the site was put in jeopardy. Ryder as well as Zinn, subsequently received death threats from some viewers, and in one instance the same viewer threatened to murder Holly Everman. No staffers were injured as a result of the incident. Ava did not upload the Dancing with the Stars result on its YouTube channel.
October 1 For the fifth consecutive year, the moderator panel of both the American and British adaptations of Vote for the Girls participate in the Leg Beards for Breast Cancer as part of the moderator’s Punishment for Failure after Christina Grimmie finished third place on the sixth season of The Voice and Jena Asciutto finished runner-up on the thirteenth season of American Idol
21 Just a month after she was terminated, Khayla Chow, is shot and killed in a shoot out with three Vote for the Girls moderators (Kymerly Alvaraz, Kendra Ray, and Julia Passalt) upon learning Vote for the Girls-supported contestant Brittany Butler was not saved by Pharrel Williams on the seventh season of The Voice, as well as violating a restraining order Zinn filed after Chow’s termination. Alvaraz suffered a gunshot wound to one of her calves as a result of the incident.Alvaraz is later charged with second-degree involuntary manslaughter and was later found not guilty of the charges while Ray is later charged with assisting a criminal.
November 1 The moderator panel of both the American and British adaptations of Vote for the Girls continue the moderator’s Punishment for Failure by participating in No Shave November for the first time in the site’s history.
12 Upon seeing Mia Pfirrman was not saved by her mentor Adam Levine on the seventh season of “The Voice,” Karly Ryder, Jr. gouges the eyes of two of Ava Zinn’s children using a pair of stilettos and the following day, Ava Zinn announces the terminations of Ryder from of Vote for the Girls USA and is replaced by Tracia Ward. Karly Ryder, Jr. would later appear on the Australian adaptation of Vote for the Girls.
18 A day after Vote for the Girls USA gets its only victory of 2014 after the elimination of Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd, Ava Zinn announces she will impose the “Ava Zinn Close Friend Mandate” beginning at the start of 2015 and taking the Vote for the Girls Pledge as a condition of remaining close friends with Ava Zinn.
20 Dan Alvaraz, the husband of Kymberly Alvaraz, files for an at-fault divorce, citing adultery by his wife, Kymberly (Christian) Alvaraz and naming Ava Zinn and fellow transwoman Kristina Chow from Houston as co-respondents. News of the divorce filing became public when it was first widely reported that Kymberly Alvaraz and Ava Zinn are involved in a lesbian relationship, and is confirmed on November 28.
24 Alfonso Ribiero wins the nineteenth season of Dancing with the Stars, giving Holly Everman her fifth victory as the winning moderator. It would be the only Vote for the Girls USA Victory in 2014 (not counting the Moderators’ Saves of Valerie Rockey and DaNica Shirey)
25 The moderator panel of Vote for the Girls USA unanimously decide to use their Moderators’ Save on DaNica Shirey, the last remaining female contestant following the eliminations of Reagan James and Anita Antionette, on the seventh season of The Voice. Shirey is eliminated the following Tuesday.
28 Kymberly Alvaraz is found not guilty of fatally shooting Khayla Chow.
29 As part of an ongoing negotiation deal with Zinn and her desire to relocate to Indianapolis, it is revealed that Ava Zinn had successfully auctioned off her virginity to Kymberly (Christian) Alvaraz for an undisclosed sum with the sexual encounter that reportedly took place at Zinn’s home on August 31, 2014 with Alvaraz signing a three-year long term relationship deal with Zinn to have Alvaraz as the sixth girlfriend of Ava Zinn. The Ava Zinn/Kymberly Alvaraz relationship agreement ended Alvaraz’s 30-year relationship with Dan Alvaraz, Kymberly’s husband since 1994, is reportedly the result of irreconcilable differences between Dan Alvaraz and Kymberly as well as disagreements between Ava Zinn and several of Zinn’s friends on her Facebook profile over the Zinn’s demands for compensation. Zinn also indicated that as of January 4, 2015 pay yours truly a monthly fee of $2.50 or $35 a year if a majority of Ava Zinn’s Facebook friends choose not to support Ava Zinn’s popular, yet controversial Vote for the Girls the site securing a victory. Zinn also indicated she will find someone that will take the Vote for the Girls pledge as a condition of maintaining such close friendship as Holly Everman and Rachael Passalt are such friends that have taken the Vote for the Girls pledge.
December 1 Three children of the Vote for the Girls moderator panel begin their gender transition from male to female exactly ten years after Ava Zinn began her own transition. Rachael Passalt, Denise Alvaraz, and Tiffani Zinn, all become the respective transgendered daughters of Julia Passalt, Kymberly Alvaraz, and Ava Zinn.  The gender transition of Rachael Passsalt now leaves Nickolas Passalt as the only remaining son of Julia Passalt while the gender transitions of Tiffani Zinn and Denise Alvaraz results in both Ava Zinn and Kymberly Alvaraz with no remaining male children.
14 The moderator panel of Vote for the Girls UK decline the defeat of Fleur East, is announced the runner-up of the eleventh series of “The X Factor UK.”
20 Ava Zinn’s Vote for the Girls picks to win Strictly Come Dancing, Caroline Flack and Frankie (Sanford) Bridge are respectively announced announced the winner and runner-up of the twelfth series of Strictly, which is the UK version of Dancing with the Stars.

Ava Zinn ends Meat Boycott…

MARION, IN – A meat strike that began on March 1, 2014 is now over after 292 days.

The meat strike or going vegetarian occurred after Ava Zinn, yours truly, made a friendly wager during American Idol 13 and Marrielle Sellars and Jillian Jensen both were eliminated in the semi-finals. That meant no beef, chicken, poultry, fish, or any meat of any kind until the end of 2014 or a female wins, whichever comes first.

Because Christina Grimmie finished third place on The Voice 6, Jena Irene (Asciutto) finished runner-up on American Idol 13, Dana Williams finished 4th on Rising Star, and DaNica Shirey was eliminated in The Voice 7 quarter-finals — the latter of which was pardoned after yours truly and the seven other moderators on the Vote for the Girls moderator panel voted unanimously to use their Moderators’ Veto on Shirey. As a result, the meat strike was scheduled to end on January 3, 2014.

After Natasha’s win on Hell’s Kitchen 13 tonight, the decision to end the meat strike after 292 days was a relatively easy decision for me to make.

But as it turned out during the 292 days of not eating meat, I am impressed with how life as a vegetarian went. I went from 180 pounds from September 2013 down to below 145 back in September 2014.

The biggest challenge was Thanksgiving when for the first time in my life, had made TofuTurky instead of the 10 pound turkey I usually buy every year. So my girlfriend, Kymberly, a vegetarian 361 days a year, and I researched Thanksgiving and Christmas vegetarian recipes that proved to be difficult to make as well as tasty.

More details will be available on AvaZinn.com as this story will be updated.

Remembering Amber Pulley

Amber Pulley (1986-2014)

Fellow Mississinewa High School alumni like myself are saddened to hear the passing of Class of 2004 grad Amber Pulley. She died at Marion General Hospital Friday (December 5.)

Ava Zinn Statement:

Kymberly and I are deeply saddened of the news about Amber Pulley. Our condolences are with Amber’s Family

Amber was a lifelong resident of Marion. She was a 2004 graduate of Mississinewa High School and attended two years at Brown Mackie College in Fort Wayne. She worked as a bank teller and also as a waitress at Take-a-Break Café in Gas City.

Photography was one of Amber’s favorite hobbies, as well as going for walks. She was also an avid Pacers and Cubs fan. Most of all, though, Amber loved her family and treasured the time she spent with them.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, December 11, 2014, 4-8 p.m., at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City.

Vote for the Girls’ Moderators’ Veto on DaNica Shirey’s Elimination…

This has to be one of the biggest eliminations since I launched Vote for the Girls.

All eight of the moderators (Holly Everman, Julia Passalt, Kellie Rock, Lanise White, Rhonda Rhodes, Kendra Ray, Kymberly Alvaraz, and yours truly-Ava Zinn) unanimously agreed to reject the Vote for the Girls Loss since Shirey was the last remaining female on The seventh season of the NBC reality singing competition “The Voice”

With DaNica Shirey being the second recipient of the Moderators’ VETO, the American Version of Vote for the Girls did not declare a loss and none of the moderators face a Punishment for Failure.

I posted on Facebook about this: “I’m glad that I changed the rules on ‪#‎VoteForTheGirls‬. I’m proud to be the webmaster and thanking my fellow moderators of rejecting DaNica’s elimination and the ‪#‎VFTGLoss‬ so that being said….. It may not be outcome I had wanted, but I want to say thanks for Voting for DaNica Shirey and I’m one Lucky woman and my moderators on the Vote for the Girls unanimously ‪#‎VFTGModeratorsVeto‬

Julia Passalt, another moderator took to Twitter, “Pretty much bittersweet and nullified.
Can’t believe the result and when Ava announced #VFTGModeratorsVeto.. No #VFTGLoss
We lose DaNica, and so what do we do now? Let’s see. 0 girls left. #VFTGModeratorsVeto DaNica Shirey elimination and no #VFTGLoss”

Holly Everman on Twitter: “Honestly? What the f–k did I just see? I am glad that Ava changed the rules on Vote for the Girls USA – Official this year. I, Holly Marie Everman, cannot believe what I saw! #VoiceResults
#SHOCKED #VFTGModeratorsVeto Thank lord there isn’t a #VFTGLoss”

What is your reaction of the decision to not declare a Vote for the Girls loss?

What will Alvaraz/Zinn relationship mean for you? FAQs.

I’m sure that you will have a lot questions about the announcement of Kymberly (Christian) Alvaraz and I in a relationship come my 32nd birthday January 4, 2015. Below are some commonly asked questions.

Read more here
Kym CQ: Who is Kymberly Alvaraz?
A: Kymberly Alvaraz is a 47 year old woman originally from Denver, Colorado. She was raised in the Hampden South neighborhood of Denver, which is not far from Aurora, Colorado and the Stapleton International Airport in Denver. She is a 1985 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Denver and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. She was previously a news presenter in Denver from June 1989 until May 2014 before joining the moderator panel of Vote for the Girls.

Q: What will this mean for fans of Vote for the Girls?
A: Vote for the Girls will continue production, since all of the moderators on the VFTG panel are either transgender/transsexual women or LGB women. Next year, in Vote for the Girls 2016, the female and transfemale moderators will still make their Vote for the Girls picks and several new elements will be added. More information will be at VoteForTheGirls.US

Vote for the Girls is owned and operated by Ava Zinn, yours truly, and has adaptations in the United States, United Kingdom, Sweeden, Italy, France, Brazil, Turkey, Isreal, and Australia. Ava Zinn hosts the United States, United Kingdom, and Australian versions.

0602141440-02Q: How this affect Ava Zinn? And will Ava Zinn and Kymberly Alvaraz now living together or have children?
A: Since Ava Zinn, yours truly, still resides in “New Naptown” (Marion) and Kymberly Alvaraz currently resides in Carmel, Indiana, Ava Zinn are still in serious negotiations with apartment complexes in Indianapolis.

Q: What happens to the four children of yours (Sammi, Ashli, Tiffani, and Tabby)? What about Kymberly’s children?
A: Sammi, the eldest daughter, has custody of Ashli, Tiffani, and Tabby with Ava Zinn still supporting them in all aspects. Ava Zinn will be adding four new step-children from Kymberly’s previous marriage with Dan Alvaraz: Stephani, Haley, Benita, and Denise.
Be assured that Kymberly and I are not deadbeat parents. In many families where the children under 18 years of age do not reside with their mother and/or father, often reside with an older sibling (since Ashli, Tiffani and Tabby live with Sammi on the west side of Marion) or even a grandparent. Kymberly and I will be working on this and other issues that will be resolved.

Q: What happens to Kymberly’s part on Vote for the Girls?
A: As of the spring cycle of Vote for the Girls 2015, Kymberly and Ava will serve as a duo moderator as Team Zinn, as opposed to solo moderators.

Kymberly Alvaraz to become significant other of Ava Zinn

MARION, Ind. (November 29, 2014)– Kymberly (Christian) Alvaraz from Denver, Colorado and Ava Zinn announced Friday a comprehensive, long-term relationship agreement with an option to extend the LTR in 2018.

Under terms of the agreement, Ava Zinn (yours truly) will change her relationship status from single to “in a relationship with Kymberly Alvaraz” with Mrs. Alvaraz’s significant other will change from “married to Dan Alvaraz”, Kymberly’s husband since 1994, to “in a relationship with Ava Zinn” beginning January 4, 2015.

Kymberly Alvaraz and Ava Zinn will be in a relationship effective January 4, 2015

Kymberly Alvaraz (pictured) and Ava Zinn will be in a relationship effective January 4, 2015

As the new girlfriend of Kymberly Alvaraz,  Ava Zinn, as a transwoman 32 years of age, becomes the stepfather of Mrs. Alvaraz’s four daughters (Stephani, Haley, Benita, and Denise (formerly David)) from Alvaraz’s ex-husband Dan. Kymberly will also become the stepmother of Zinn’s four children: Samantha, Tiffani, Ashli, and Tabitha.

Kymberly Alvaraz, 47 and nearly 16 years older than Ava Zinn,  agreed to the relationship with yours truly as part of a deal that CONFIRMS that Ava Zinn had successfully auctioned her virginity for a long term relationship to the former news anchorwoman Denver.

The relationship with Mrs. Alvaraz and yours truly will make Alvaraz  the oldest significant other of yours truly, knocking Angie Willis down to second-oldest.

Experts said the sticky issue of relationship agreements and agreeing to be friends by strictly voting for female contestants and paying Ms. Zinn was behind the reason Zinn and Alvaraz will be in a LTR as well as Zinn auctioning off her virginity as the punishment for failure on Vote for the Girls and recently renewed close friendships with Holly Everman and accepted close friendship deals with Rachael Passalt, a transgender woman from Minneapolis that begins her own gender transtision on Monday (December 1–coincidentally 10 years to the day yours truly began her own transition and the same day that Denise, Kymberly’s youngest child, will also begin her own transition). Reports have been circulating that the remaining of Ms. Zinn’s friends had been renegotiating their own friendship agreements with Ava Zinn and Zinn confirmed one of the Close Friends of 13 were unwilling to ante up the kind of agreement payments that yours truly demands (such as paying $100 per year in case a female contestant finishes runner-up or worse on American Idol, The Voice, Rising Star, and/or The X Factor), according to sources.

“A female friend of Ava’s was kind of playing hardball on how much she was willing to pay and declining the Vote for the Girls clause  and perhaps did not take Zinn’s demands with Vote for the Girls seriously , said one source.

Of course, I didn’t take the virginity auction lightly, but I will continue to entertain outside offers as close friend renewal talks with existing friends and other allies.

“I always hope to work with the incumbent,” says yours truly. “But if the incumbent doesn’t meet the value that I perceive it to be, we will certainly and most definitely test the marketplace.”

That value is expressed these days in the fines and penalties to yours truly that most pay for violating the rules.

“The virginity auction and subsequent relationship agreement to Kymberly Alvaraz as well as the close friendship agreement with Rachael Passalt came down to the value that Mrs. Alvaraz and the junior Ms. Passalt offered in their entirety versus what one of my existing close friends were offering,” yours truly says. “Mrs. Alvaraz saw an opportunity in Indianapolis. The valuation that both Kymberly and Rachael put forth was more in line with what I am seeking.”

The switches are a devastating blow to those that currently and have been close friends with for nearly 20 years.

Of course, I have others that have been close friends with yours truly and so far, Alec Dailey thus far has been confirmed as the only remaining male friend in my Close Friends of 13 Circle have been renewed until 2023, as the remaining 12 are all female. I can say that the close friendship with Holly, Jessica, and Rachael,  are set to expire in 2026 with Wendy, Veronica, Telissa,  Elaine, Dara W.’s all expiring at the end of 2024,  Mona’s expiring in February 2022; and Lisa and Kayla’s having a lifetime clause.

I am still working on renewals with other long-time close friends, although I’m not going to say how many.

As far as going forward with those I have been friends with since high school and now as a woman, they are a large group of ours and I expect to further engage with them in renewing in where I have friends up for renewal.

“At the end of the day, from what I’ve been seeing on Facebook, I think if a close friend of Ava Zinn’s balks at her Ava’s demands, the close friend must recognize that other individuals might step up to take over the close friendship at less attractive terms.”

That doesn’t mean that I want the lion’s share of a close friend’s money, I think I am just asking for fair value, and agreeing to voice their support for Vote for the Girls in order to get a victory. I’ve been sort of putting a fire under close friends to go out and get as much as I can to continue as a webmaster.

Turkey-less on Thanksgiving 2014 and Losing Gracefully

Almost nine months into the vegetarian diet, I had to face an obstacle as it was my first Thanksgiving without a turkey.

So I researched Turkey alternatives and found a replacement in Tofurky Vegan Roast and Savory Stuffed Turk’y ith Gravy by Gardein.

But there was a big problem, after I researched the two products–both of them are carried by Whole Foods, which does not have a location in Marion, yet there is such a store in Indianapolis.

IMG_1418.JPG

IMG_1417.JPG

So that being said, and not wanting to make the brutal bike trip to Indy… I had no choice but to go to Meijer in Marion to get what is close enough to the replacement…

IMG_1419.JPG

And then coming across a tofurkey recipe I found online and skeptical to try it on Thanksgiving, the end result was either undercooked or overcooked….

Now with Black Friday coming up, I am thinking “this vegetarian thing could go on into 2015 if DaNica Shirey does win.”

That being said, earlier this week, my closest friend, Holly Everman, became a winning moderator as her Vote for the Girls pick (Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson) won Dancing with the Stars 19. I had made the decision to add DWTS as a make-up competition and the moderators of the Vote for the Girls site were divided into two teams based on biological sex (transwomen vs women–the Transwomen are in the Purple team and the Women in the Pink team).

Unlike the other competitions (like The Voice, American Idol, and Rising Star and to a lesser extent as the fellow makeup competitions of So You Think You Can Dance and America’s Got Talent) that have one winner, all the moderators’ picks were good since there were no Vote for the Worst picks on DWTS (the closest to such are basically not chosen by the moderator panel).

As for the 20th season of Dancing with the Stars: I can confirm that Holly Everman and Julia Passalt will not be participating and won’t make a DWTS pick because Everman’s pick won DWTS a 19 and Passalt made a great deal with the “Male Moderator” before the Rising Star finale in August with an $8 Million offer.

There is more to come next week as I celebrate 10 years as Ava Zinn, and trust me, it will start with a shocking announcement from April 18, 2014 and something that will change everything.

Ava Zinn’s Vote for the Girls USA and UK Dances to victory!

VFTG IconThe respective eliminations of Tommy Chong on the popular ABC reality show “Dancing with the Stars” in the United States and Scott Mills on the popular BBC One program “Strictly Come Dancing” in the United Kingdom gave the popular, yet controversial web site Vote for the Girls their first victory of 2014 in the United States and United Kingdom, respectively.

The site added “Dancing with the Stars”/”Strictly Come Dancing” as a make up competition in the United States and United Kingdom following a string of losses on the American version of Vote for the Girls in September 2014. Moderators of Vote for the Girls choose their couples to win “Dancing with the Stars”/”Strictly Come Dancing” as the winning moderator and victory for Vote for the Girls.

ABOUT VOTE FOR THE GIRLS USA and VOTE FOR THE GIRLS UK
Vote for the Girls USA was started in May 2010 as a campaign by Aeverine “Ava” Zinn to support voting for Crystal Bowersox following the elimination of Siobhan Magnus. Vote for the Girls is dedicated to supporting all of the female contestants who the producers would love to see win on American Idol, The Voice, Rising Star, and The X Factor. Fans vote en masse for the female contestant(s) that the moderators feel provides the most entertaining performances that go in favor (or on occasion against) what the producers want in a winner and that annoy the voting public. The United Kingdom version started on June 1, 2013.

ABOUT DANCING WITH THE STARS (UNITED STATES)
Hosted by Emmy® Award-winning host Tom Bergeron (America’s Funniest Home Videos) and Erin Andrews (sports host & Dancing with the Stars Season 10 finalist), Dancing with the Stars is the hit multi-award-winning series in which celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which are judged by renowned ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli, Carrie Ann Inaba and ballroom dancer and Emmy®- Nominated choreographer Julianne Hough.

ABOUT STRICTLY COME DANCING (UNITED KINGDOM)
Each week, our couples will perform a Ballroom or a Latin American dance and will be judged and scored – as always – by our judges Craig Revel-Horwood, Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell. Strictly Come Dancing is hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly.

Ava Zinn Announcement (11/18/14)

IMG_0790.JPG
I am well aware of it and you should be too.

I understand that things have been really bad in 2014. This year marks 10 years since I began an ongoing gender transition from male to female. Setback after setback after setback after setback has been the problem for yours truly since my IWU dismissal.

A triumph or two happens to be Vote for the Girls, a site I launched on April 28, 2010 following Siobahn Magnus’ elimination. the site has been successful with six outright victories and going for a seventh.

This year, I made a lot of changes to Vote for the Girls USA that saw the site finally getting what quite possibly the only victory of 2014 following the elimination of Tommy & Peta last night.

Tonight, I watched along with just as much as everyone else witnessed what quite possibly be the second consecutive loss on The Voice with only three girls left–Anita Antioinette, DaNica Shirey, and Reagan James.

So with that in mind, if you have been a fan for years or have known me personally, I am asking you to help my site Vote for the Girls by encouraging you to go to the American version of the site.

Unfortunately, I have decided to make some changes that will incorporate Vote for the Girls (the American, British, and upcoming Austrailian adaptations) and INNewsCenter onto AvaZinn.com effective July 4, 2015.

The sites are not shutting down, per se, but it is apparent that my friends and fans have decided not to support Anita, DaNica, and Reagan.

By not voting for the the girls, you are hurting someone and not even know it.

I want everyone to take the Vote for the Girls pledge tonight or as of January 4, 2015 pay yours truly a monthly fee of $2.50 or $35 a year if you choose not to support the site securing a victory.

Of course, my closest friends have been the strongest bunch and I understand that what I just proposed to them may not work for everyone, I will find someone that will take the Vote for the Girls pledge as a condition of maintaining such friendship. So far, Holly Everman and Rachael Passalt are such friends that have taken the pledge. Those that choose not to, have until October 4, 2015 to comply with this new Ava Zinn Close Friend Mandate or risk ending a close friendship after years of being loyal.

As always, I do thank you for supporting The Vote for the Girls franchise. For those of you that would rather choose the best artist regardless of someone’s gender–I am truly sorry to say this, but after January 4, 2015, if you are a close friend and want to keep it, I know that you all have family obligations and understand that unforeseen circumstances do come up from time to time.

For those of say if the girls sang better, I would vote for them–I want you to consider this suggestion–do it anyway as long as you do not vote for any male contestant once you make the Vote for the Girls pledge since it is indefinite and it does apply to all singing competitions such as The Voice, American Idol, Rising Star, X Factor, and the make-up competitions such as So You Think You Can Dance, America’s Got Talent, and more recently Dancing with the Stars/Strictly Come Dancing.

I’m sure you all have a lot of questions about this and I will be happy to answer them.

I hope you will start voting for the ladies and when girls win these shows, my friends, my fans, and every one of Indiana’s 92 counties win also. The rewards will be amazing when a Vote for the Girls victory occurs.

-Ava Zinn
