As with every American Idol competition since launching Vote for the Girls USA four years ago, I place friendly wagers with a majority of my friends.
This year, as I made my picks for American Idol 13, I chose fellow Hoosier Marrielle Sellars and X Factor USA alum Jillian Jensen.
Since both of them were eliminated in the semi-finals, and to get attention to the Vote for the Girls campaign, I decided to go on a meat strike.
What going on a meat strike means is that yours truly, Ava Zinn, will not be eating any type of meat. That means no beef, chicken, poultry, fish, or any meat of any kind until the American Idol 13 finale (or even until the end of 2014).
So the meat strike will end on depending if a girl wins American Idol 13 and/or The Voice of America 6…
Should a male win American Idol 13 (or all females are eliminated) and The Voice of America 6, my meat strike will last until my 32nd Birthday (January 4, 2015)
Should a female win American Idol 13 and The Voice of America 6, the meat strike will last until June 1, 2014
Should a male win American Idol 13 and a female win The Voice of America 6, the meat strike will last until July 4, 2014.
Should a female win (or all males eliminated) American Idol 13 and a male win The Voice of America 6, the meat strike will last until September 1, 2014 (Labor Day).
What do you think about this? Do you think going vegan for Ava is too extreme because she’s allergic to Navy Beans and Great Northern Beans? Comment Below.
