Ashley Rheam Dies at 29

Ahley Rheam 1984-2013MARION, IN — It has happened again. Former classmates are heartbroken as another Mississinewa High School Alumnus was found dead and the second such in three years.

Gas City Police is investigating a homicide that took the life of 29 year old Ashley Rheam in Gas City Saturday morning. State Police Sergeant Tony Slocum says police were dispatched to a home in the 100-block of E. North A Street around 10:30am where they found Rheam dead inside the residence.

Indy CBS affiliate WISH-TV is reporting Indiana State Police say early indications show Rheam was murdered, according to a release.
An autopsy will determine an exact cause of death.
Detectives have begun a homicide investigation. Preliminary information reveals Rheam reported her home had been burglarized at 5:39 a.m. Rheam told police electronic items were missing from her home and her home had been kicked in.
Officers responded to Rheam’s home to take a report but did not find any suspects.
Shortly after 10:30 a.m., Rheam’s roommate arrived home and found her dead.
Detectives say Rheam’s car was stolen – it is a white 1993 Cadillac Eldorado. The car is registered in Indiana with an In God We Trust license plate with the number UDL191.
